Some might say this is "overdone/extracted" but I loved it. Not sure it was the best pick for the food but was going for a flavor profile that everyone would like. Went quick.

Very nice. A bit extracted for my preference.

While full of flavor, this is very much showing varietal character. Bright red fruit, good acidity and some tannic grip. Ended up decanting this.

A tasty blend of balanced red and blue fruits with good structure and a nice finish. Drinking well now with a brief decant, but has the stuffing for further improvement.

Brighter acidity than expected with pleasing notes of blood orange, plus a great nose of damp forest floor and mushrooms. After 30 minutes or so this developed nice depth and complexity that danced on the tongue.

Want to rate this higher for its beautiful red fruits and a long finish, but its lack of structure makes it feel a bit unfocused and less complex.
