Kelham Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep rich claret color. Thick long last legs. Drinking the 2011 on 12/31/2020. Light bouquet for a Napa cab. Slightly woody with a hint of dark berry and ash. Very smooth flavor with low tannins. Full of blackberry, oak and rich ripe fruit. Slight ash on the finish. Very nice wine.

This time I’m getting cherry, blackberry, oak, tobacco, vanilla, and pepper on the nose. Ripe black fruit and pepper with a long finish. Well structured. Might be a bit past it’s prime but drinking well once again. The more I drink it the less I’m liking that pepper.

Black cherry, oak, pepper on the nose. Blackberry, plum, pepper, Vassos and a nice long finish.

Black fruit, super smooth, a great N&N

Silky blackberry, concentrated, sawdust, dust, earthy, oak, tobacco, tannins very smooth.

On the nose, cherry, vanilla, earth and leather. On the palate, medium body, cherry and berries initially, long finish of herbs, tobacco and peppery spice. Tannins are still very present and round out the wine nicely.

Great cab. Really balanced.

A big wine. A bit of herbaceous in the nose. Dark and concentrated. A must decant. Classic blackberry flavor. A long and flavorful finish. Oops. Should note some cassis, too.

Full body. A bit young. Tastes like an Amarone.

Nicely structured. Balanced.
