Tried this again about 8 months later. Sentinel Cabernet Sauvignon is named for the shield-shaped block that casts a watchful eye on the entrance to Monte Rosso Vineyard. Deep Ruby with aromas of rich dark fruit, cedar and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry, blackberry and currants with vanilla oak and toasty nutty notes. Fine soft tannins, well balanced with acidity, long finish ending with berry fruit, cacao and toasty vanilla oak. Nice!

Tonight I have chosen the 2015 Mount Peak Winery Sentinel Cabernet Sauvignon. Sourced 50% from Sonoma County and 50% from Napa County.
The nose has beautiful black fruit throughout, sweet black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, lavender, milk chocolate, mint and wet gravel.
The palate reveals juicy black fruit, black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, spice, violet, graphite and a nice earth component.
This wine is full bodied with a sophisticated mouth feel, medium + acidity and medium + mouth coating sandy tannins leading right into a long black fruit finish. The weekend is just around the corner and let's all have a great time, just be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Powerful Sonoma Cab. Ripe Blueberries and currants dominate. Hints of coffee, anise, mint and smoke. Full bodied and well integrated. Big and chewy tannins. Finish is balanced by acidity. Great with a steak.

Dark ruby color with intense dark fruits on the nose and palate especially cherries. Hint of vanilla and chocolate. Very smooth. I like this can a lot

Cherry, white pepper, big and bold, fairly well balanced. Medium plus tannins with nice finish. Very good!
