Dark purple with a nose of blackberries, dark chocolate, and pepper. Gave my son a whiff and he said peaches. In a weird way, I sort of pick that up too. Full bodied wine with firm tannins. Finish is long. Dryer than previous vintages, I believe this one will age a bit longer. Might give my other bottles 2-3 more years to open up more. At this point I think I like the 2014 the best (which had Petite Sirah in the blend), but this is excellent too.
