A very impressive full bodied Italian red - ruby / dark red fruit bouquet and notes with a hint of vanilla notes at the finish. Outstandingly good!

Quite light. A little peppery. Medium length. May do better with more age.

Dark ruby in color with a dark red rim.

Earthy nose of blueberries, plums, strawberries, black currants, oak, forest floor, dirt, vannilla, Mediterranean spices and black pepper.

Dry, fruity and spicy on the palate with plums, cherries, strawberries, currants, oak, vannilla, peppercorn, baking spices, cloves and earth.

Medium bodied with nice legs.

Medium finish with soft tannins and black pepper.

This primitivo is from the southern part of italy, where vines are grown on a red clay and limestone soil.

Enjoyed it with mixed cheeses, especially the parmasian.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Not the best nor the worst primtivio I've had. Dark fruit flavors dominate but the oak aging has yet to really integrated into the flavor profile so they are disjointed at best. Needs time to smooth out. 2012 vintage

Great with pasta and pizza. Good body and fruit. You get what you pay for - cheap and tasty.
