Trarbacher Huhnerberg Spätlese* Feinherb Mosel Riesling

This is showing so nicely, with a robust perfume of stone fruit, jasmine, ripe citrus and peach blossom, leading in to a pleasing just off-dry palate that is thick, stony, and delicately tannic. Mirabelle plum and even an exotic note of ume plum carry through to the back end. Fantastic.

@Delectable Wine this is the 1 star version. Classic Hühnerberg. Apricot skin, pluot, spice, tangerine, pithy fleshy fruits, dense nose that is layered and complex. Smells so deep. Just a nose to get lost in. Palate is rich and opulent, tangy, mineral, deep, complex, acid is not quite there but the opulence, richness and freshness from the tangy and dancing minerality and fruit is so pretty. Very closed. Huge extract. Dense and long. Snap pea and closed on the finish. Salt and sugar on palate. I’ll be back. So much extract but it all remains hidden.

Quince and jasmine and white flowers on the nose. Really blossoms in the glass. Apricot and peach, layered spice and citrus pith on the palate. Great textural density, really expressive. Would be next level with a skosh more acid.

Morning decant - beautiful stuff that needs time & air. Mineral/slight petrol nose. Palate is layered—apricot, nectarine, honey, bitter grapefruit, sweetness on the finish.
