Garnet red. Aroma is a spicy and phenolic with notes of tobacco and cocoa. Body is on the heavier side of moderate with loads of chocolate covered raisins with a a tannic finish that is washed away quickly with a tart plum acidity. Went very nicely with the rich warm spice palate of greek meatballs.
