Actually this wine I used to love very much! I think this one is just a bad bottle... Or my taste has completely changed. Cannot judge this wine professionally. Sorry

Black olive, dried fruit, spice, herbs, earthy tannins. Bigger than expected.

Funk, tar, and cherry on the nose dominated by funk and more funk. Very simple on the palate, very acidic and slightly out of balance. Nose far more interesting than the wine itself.

After the previous two classic Sangiovese led wines this really does stand out (not bad, just very different). The oak is blatantly obvious though not in a bad way this is certainly more Bordeaux with a hint of Tuscany rather than the other way round. Rich, powerful black berry and currant fruit, coffee and cassis but still offering plenty of class. The palate again is dominated by polished black fruits, rich and succulent, with plenty of fresh acidity that leads to fresh blackcurrant fruit dominating the length. A well put together wine but maybe hard to place if tasted blind. 90pts

At a very good moment to drink. Iron, blood and plum, with a firm and mouthwatering acidity. A rock solid backbone. Many years ahead.

Color : Red
Wine estate : Villa Antinori
Designation : Toscana
Name : Rosso
Country : Italy
Vivino : 4/5
Note : A very beautiful ruby color with a fresh cherry nose. On the palate, an intense texture with a length on aromas of wood, black fruits, licorice. A treat value for money.

Une très belle robe rubis avec un nez de cerise fraîche. En bouche, une texture intense avec une longueur sur des arômes de bois, fruits noirs, réglisse. Un régal rapport qualité prix.

Able to age a couple years at home (8 years old when poured). Smooth, smokey, hint of sweet, slight oakey finish.

This guy took a while to open up, so would definitely recommend decanting. A hint astringent and awkward when first opened but integrated itself in the glass w dark plummy fruits and loads of licorice and spice. Had w a spicy shakshuka but would work w a wide range of meat and tomato dishes, not to mention pizza. Solid.
