Very nice bottle, starting to lose that standard cherry flavor and turning more earthy and floral. I guess 600 years of winemaking knowledge really helps make kick ass vino.

The 2007 is drinking beautifully right now and this is a very good wine in a very good vintage. On the nose it seems like I am in Tuscany with notes of cherry, licorice, pepper, leather and earth. The taste is incredible, typically soft Sangiovese mouth feel, satin-like, and flavors of cherry, spice and volcanic rock. The finish is long (really long). It's impossible not to love this wine!
