"La Mordorée" Côte-Rôtie Syrah

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish/brick rim.

Dry on the palate and medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Showing blueberries, black plums, cooked cherries, oak, light vanilla, olives, spices, tobacco, light barnyard, vegetables, herbs, dark chocolates and coffee.

This 14 year old is nicely balanced, with a nice mouthfeel. I really enjoyed the nose here.

Needed 3 hours of airtime to open up properly, but was good right out of the bottle too.

Drinking nicely now and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.

100% Syrah grapes were hand-picked from 60 year old Vines. Aged for 16 months in Oak barrels.

This wine is opening remarkably! C'est un régal. Complex, structured, beautiful fruit and dark spices. Long finish. A great wine.

Wild cote rotie. Sweet tobacco.
