Juicy with quality finesse. Tannins are well integrated throughout the palate. But, the acid seems to try and dominate at times. Bright sour cherries, strawberries, blood oranges, rose hips, wet gravel, and potting soil flood the bouquet. Minerality and floral notes press the finish. 2014 seems to be a great year for immediate consumption. There is enough fruit here to use as a good transition from California to Burgundy. Burgundy doesn't have to be hundreds of dollars and aged to enjoy. Go drink some Village Burgundy from good vintages. It won't kill you! Cheers!
