Clos Saint Jacques Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Weekly Wednesday wine committee. This week we had 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 3 reds, 1 dessert. All tasted blind as normal.

I guessed mid-90s burgundy and got fairly close. Bricking is fairly noticeable, but bing cherries, currant, onion-bacon-tart showed this was still doing quite well. A treat.

Ruby with a little bricking. Almost translucent. Bing cherry, spice, and a little nice funk. Lots of ripe fruit, power and some heat. Palate coating, very round finish. Very nice.

90s theme sbs - bubbles unfortunately a bit flat on the DP. Burg showing well

Solid, but more advanced than prior bottles. Normally a rock star, but not today.
