Ted says that this is a second bottling from 2009 vintage. One of the barrels intended for the original bottling did not finish secondary fermentation in time to be included into the blend. He elected to age it longer in barrel, almost two years, so that it would be truly distinctive. The wine has great aromatic volume , jumping out of the glass with notes of nutmeg, brioche, lemon curd, quince and hazelnuts. It is as rich and round a Chardonnay as you will find from Littorai.
