Apr 29th, 2018A solid French red for $12. Clear dark violet, leggy. Nose is sorta like a southern Rhone--dirty strawberry--, but it's a little darker and oakier. Dense with age. On the palate the fruit is much darker: cooked black cherries, black plum, and a tasteful note of pruney oak. Clear brusque tannins, long tasty finish. Nothing wrong here!
