Mid yellow in colour. Nose of really ripe grapefruit and that trademark dried pear character. Good to see the oak dialled back in this Art series from their previous big style. This is an excellent new world Chardonnay (more Stone fruit than citrus/grapefruit) drinking at its peak. Wonderful Balance- medium minus acid with medium plus intensity. Consistent with previous notes from October 2019 and also 86 weeks ago.

Pale to mid Lemon in colour. Typically lush old school Art Series Chardonnay with Nectarine And Peach and touch of Orange Peel. Profound mid palate intensity and flavours still with Latent Power and cleansing acid. Tastes like a 3 or 4 year old wine, not nearly 10 years. More Puligny Montrachet than Corton Charlemagne. Great wine. Tasted again 41 weeks later on 2nd October 2019 with consistent notes. Noticeable peaches and cream on the palate.

Holding up extremely well! Tons of complexity! Reminiscent of a Meursault with hazelnuts and spiced apple.

Simply an outstanding Chardonnay - one of Australia’s best drinking at its peak. See several previous notes. They all still apply. The trademark dried pear character with medium minus acid. Incredible length and persistence. Sadly my last of the 2009s but an annual purchase for me.

Great Chardonnay made in a very French style. Find it it's that good.

Toasty, custard, smoked pear, sugared grapefruit, green apple skin, accented by a string of minerality. This jumps out of the glass. Mouthcoating with rich, layered green apple, pear, and lime zest flavors. Asian spices pop with time. Balance is impeccable. Acid is still impressive, with length and evolution to finish. Wow! Paired with smoked salmon over a cream based pasta.

2009 vintage. Chardonnay. Medium golden hue. Lovely aroma of steely mineral, peaches and citrus. Quite complex. On the palate, medium plus acidity, medium plus body and alcohol. Great concentration and length. Excellent. Drink now until 2029.
