Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet plums, blueberries, violets, black currants, cedar, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, alcohol, peppercorn and coffee.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, plums, cherries, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates, light vegetables, mocha, peppercorn, leather and earth.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is another great Napa Cabernet. Well balanced and a little subdued, yet still showing Napa Cabernet characteristics. Not too extracted, which is nice to see.


This is from a great vintage, but still needs a few more years to become its own, although delicious now. A good sipping to share with friends.

Teeth staining color, so not a good choice for a first date.

Good by itself or with food. Good right out of the bottle, but definitely better after a couple of hours of airtime.

Surprising smooth and drinkable. Big decadent blackberry, ripe plums, and leathery cedar.

Smooth sweet blue fruit and pencil with a tart finish. Nice stuff.

Blueberry. Chocolate. Deep toasted oak. Massive Howell mountain juice. Very big cab that has a better finish than eleven the great nose provides....

For the price I expected a little more but still was a crowd favorite at our party

Mountain fruit, in my view, can beat valley fruit if done right. This is outstanding. It's opulent but not flabby.
