Kistler
Trenton Roadhouse Chardonnay
Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County, California, USA
A great balance of tension, acidity, fruit and oak. Enjoyable from the first sip to the last drop. I just might like Kistler Chards more than their Pinots!

Jul 1st, 2018We served this wine from magnum at a party at our home. Deep gold color, bouquet of hazelnuts and mandarin. Bright acidity that needed time to flatten out on palate. Powerful fruit of mandarin oranges, nuts and lemon tart with long powerful finish. This wine was still evolving 2 hours after opening. A spectacular Chardonnay that will still be peaking over the next decade.

Nose of lemon, mineral and butterscotch. Flavor is big and lush. Tropical fruit, vanilla, oak. A touch of acid keeps everything in check so nothing is over the top. Really amazing with a super long finish. Birthday present from KA. 2012 vintage
