3 years since last bottle from this case. Just opened and cellar cool: Intense aromas of cherry, almost at a Dr. Pepper level. Smooth, slightly grippy tannins on the front and side of the tongue. Earthy but tart. Delicious. An hour later, dried cherries, blueberries and garrigue and mint.

So smooth and rich. Black berries, tannins, tar and earth. Great balance. A favorite.

Different food this time, a lot of fried potatoes, and the wine seemed more fresh than last time. Still beautiful balance with berries up front and then Rhône-like tannins tailing off.

Love this wine. Gives anything out out of the Southern Rhône a run. Great balance of fruit and garrigue and tannins. Sage and Oregano in there with the blueberry and plum? Or maybe that's dinner influencing the wine. But really great either way.
