Huge fruit-forward nose. Goldkap is definitely a step up from the regular bottling. Long finish. Got better and more rich with air. Great starter wine with appetizers.

Amazing wine. Definitely at peak, but drinking great. Started deep gold and color, before turning Amber with air. Nose smells like an oily baseball glove, in a good way. Some paint aromas as well. On the palate, apple sauce, apple pie filling, apricot and still has this beam of acidity bringing some lemon custard and lime notes.

Still working out how much I love this or don’t. Beautiful gold colour and huge nose mainly of diesel / petrol for first hour or two at least. Calms down and the petrochemical taste subsides which isn’t a bad thing. Sweetness has subsided and integrated itself making a substantial feel and finish. Lovely
