Jean-Marc Pillot
Les Vergers Clos Saint-Marc Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay
Chassagne-Montrachet, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France
More intense and rounded. Some secondary notes coming through with a hint of honey, corn. A lovely succulent mid palate with precise acidity and overall a good balance and structure

Golden colored. Quite advanced but still very good. Oily lemon and honey but quite high toned. I’m not sure how much longer this has, but excellent now.

Zesty and bright. Tart lemon and white stones. Zippy and thrilling. Love this wine

Surprisingly advanced compared to the 11 alongside. A more subdued nose but a denser, rounder, riper mid-palate. Notes of honey, rather intense acidity and good power and length. A whiff of sherry in the end at first (a harbinger of premox) that blows off after time. Gets better over time in the glass but I suspect this may not be a perfect bottle?
