Close your eyes and you might think it is a Meursault. However, there is a small edge in the wine that gives away that is Napa Carneros.

V12. Elegant, nicely balanced. Vanilla nose. Creamy pear, apricot ,Meyer lemon fruit touched with a bit of honey. Tart pleasing finish. Enjoyable.

2012 HdV Hyde vineyard Chardonnay from Carneros.
Lovely lemon nuisances in the nose with vanillin oak overlay. Creamy rich Chardonnay flavors beautifully balanced with moderate vanillin oak flavors. Had with crab cakes.
