A less fruity, more mineral rendition than the norm. Night one it was difficult. Angular with some sour prune flavors, but on night 2 it’s very nice. Nose gives up some ripe, dark, crunchy cherry and tons of limestone minerality. Deeply mineral on the palate, it’s like sucking on a rock drizzled in dry dark cherry extract. Soft tannins leave a nice mouthfeel. Good acids. A character.
