Not decanted. Initial vanilla oak notes blew off. Floral notes - palate was seamless and delicious with soft black fruits (raspberry), hints of game and liquorice. From vines initially planted in 1853 by Friedrich Koch. Likely to be the oldest Mourvèdres vineyard in the world. Must buy more.

Always good to get a style of wine one likes and doubly good when it is done well. Tar and leather - very savoury. Palate is concentrated and long. Enjoyable. 17+
