Perfectly stored bottle with solid cork. Wish I had bought more when availablešŸ˜ž, great balance, no bricking or stewed fruits. But no nose either which is disappointing, I love a good sniff so I had to deduct a couple points.

Iā€™ve had too many bottles of 97 that are weak. 91 and 94 rule this period. Over the years I now wonder if it was me and not 97.

Amazing. Could have been made now yet 22 years old.

Full bodied, amazing fruit, with a long finish. You could trick your friends into thinking this is a young wine there is so much body left ... maybe I should have waited 10 more years?

The color is intense! Even with some age. Spicy and still vibrant!

This Bella Oaks Vineyard Cab was bottled in 2001 and finally enjoyed 16 years later. Popped the cork about 10am and by 6:30 pm it was time to drink. It was everything I hoped it would be after sitting on it for so long. Black Cherry and blackberry flavors with a touch of heat on the finish. It is what you love about a single vineyard Cab out of Napa.

Still tight after an hour in the decanter, a but a full, pleasing Cabernet with clove and anise, berry cobbler and dusty earth. Wish I had more to taste over a length of time

Pretty amazing for an 18-year-old wine. Definitely past its prime - not a lot of tannic backbone - but a surprising amount of fruit left and still well balanced. I think this wine is a textbook example of not only a classic CA cabernet, but also why Heitz is, at least in terms of the last 15 years, a totally underappreciated winery. Great stuff!
