The acid balance was way off on this wine -- would almost be better chilled and drank like a rosé. Hibiscus and red tea with cooked grapefruit-like astringency.

Acidity is on the crazy side...but at $9 at my local wine shop...I'll take it!

A little out of balance. Not the greatest Pinot. But still enjoyable.

Light red/ brown in color.

Nose of smoke, barnyard, cherries and blackberries. Light in body.

Semi sweet on palate with cherries, blackberries, strawberries, spices, herbs and cloves.

Medium finish with flabby tannings.

Since the winemaker is Italian, he added some Sangiovese to make this more from his heritage, and to add some spice.

Starts off a bit acidic but by the time you've had 3/4 of the bottle it's super smooth and fruity. Lots of strawberry. I like it.
