Full disclosure. I'm drinking this while on vacation in Sicily. Maybe it was the food, the surroundings or something unexplainable but It tastes so good here. I drink this wine often in the SFBay area but here in its birthplace, it truly shines. Dried cherries, rhubarb, ripe cranberry, a hint of twizzlers, forest floor, along with great acidity and subtle minerality, (can you say volcanic soil) make this wine a winner. Pinot/Burgundy lovers take note. What a value.

This was a very useful, fresh Etna wine and it went quite well with our first grill up of the year.

I have been drinking a lot Etna and Vittoria wines of late and this was a disappointment. Austere in flavor and aroma to the point of mute on the palate...about the only texture I could perceive was the heat on the finish, 14% abv.

A pop of sour cherries and almost a hint of smoke early on. Exciting on the tip of the tongue but then a little brash/unpolitical shed at the end of the sip. Not a mind-blower but definitely easy to keep going back for crisp + tart sips throughout the night.

A stunner, Pinot like weight and Nebbiolo complexity. Great structure, such a good food wine. Purchased at Rosetta restaurant in Melbourne.

Etna bliss: the strong Sicilian sun and particular terroir make for a powerful, characterful wine, with a heavy dark berries palate and tobacco and gunpowder notes. Goes splendidly with pasta, pizza and red meat.
