Last of the recent Girard wines from our club shipment (at least the ones that aren't being cellared for a while!)
First time tasting Girard's merlot. I pop-n-poured initially and it was super resistant with weak raspberries on the nose and a bit smokey in the finish. After about 2+ hours decanting, it opened nicely and expressed some cherries and fig. The legs may still be falling from the glass long after I finish...crazy lengthy!
