Medium straw color; wild aromas of sagebrush, dried citrus peel and stones, persistent and true, decidedly distinctive; medium bodied, tight and well built on the palate, lengthy and lasting; dry, excellent acidity, great balance; wild and crazy flavors beyond what most folks are used to, brazenly stoney, with a bitter citrus peel in the flavors; long finish, tightly would and impactful in the aftetaste. This is the 2004 vintage. At a masked tasting several picked this as a burgundy. Is this Australia's best Chardonnay over Leeuwin? Depends on your style preference. This was more fuller bodied than usual. Lemon cream and minerals. 18+.

This is full of energy and almost electric. Green apple peel, stone fruit, ginger, cashew, matchstick. Would really benefit from food. Unique.

Winner of the night from the Legend Imports wine dinner at Peasant featuring a variety of beautiful wines from Australia that are not mollydooker penfolds or yellowtail.
This wine was described as Australian Montrachet and boy was that right. Anyone tasting blind would’ve picked burgundy.
Delicious.
