Definitely not a fan, but grabbed one in honor of the 2016 harvest. Deep purple. Lovely nose to start with notes of grapes, and Christmas spices before the odd finish of tangerines. Light rocks and raspberries on the plate. Very dry with low acidity (4/10). Bland light body and short finish. Drink now.

First wine of the 2016 vintage. This year's version seems more grapey and estery than usual. May be the late harvest. Might be better with a few weeks in the bottle.

Pure grape juice with some alcohol added. Smells pure fruity and tastes the same. Young and fresh, like a virgin.

Jody really liked this. Fun fruity and easy drinking. Drank on a hot afternoon while camping. Like having a cooler only much better. I think it was a little past it's prime. Too bad bc it was still great

2016 Beaujolais Nouveau Appellation Beaujolais Controlee. Tart aftertaste, not as good as 2013.

Jan 31st, 2017I've never had the Beaujolais Nouveau before so I decided to buy a bottle and try it this year. Was very fruity as I expected - seemed to be like blackberry. Was OK, but I think I will pass in the future. Ended up having it with a boneless ribeye. Went fine, but there are other wines I would prefer. .....
