Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend

Blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of red/black fruits and floral cedar notes. On the palate flavors of cherry and sweet plums with notes of cacao and spice. Firm tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruits and earthy herb spice. Nice!

Clear dark garnet. Inviting nose and medium bodied palate of cassis and cranberry with a slight hint of oak. Medium tannins and medium acidity with a medium finish. Nenin's second label is a nice enough intro to the Right Bank for the light-bodied NW Merlot drinker. Experienced "Rive Droit-ers" may want to look to a good Fronsac at the price point. Drink now.

Light, good with filet Mignon

Nariz: ciruela, cereza, eucalipto, cuero, tierra

Boca: Tanino M/M+, Acidez M, Alcohol M

NYE 2021-2022 after dinner with Tressa. Good, not great. Very different from the Bordeaux wines Rex gets.

Nariz: mora, cereza, ciruela, cassis, eucalipto

Boca: Tanino M, Acidez M, Alcohol M

Medium garnet hue with high saturation. Aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, licorice, pepper, raspberry, and rubber. Medium body, medium-minus tannins, and medium-plus acidity. Subtle fruity flavors, though not as arousing as the nose. Very smooth texture and clean, velvety finish. 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.

Had this for my 29th birthday. Saved this for 2 years I think. Good wine. 🙂 bought from Rustans Marketplace’s wine event.

Young as at 2020. Full bodied, structured, high acidity.
