Black cherries, smoke, crushed flowers, game, licorice, plums and dark spices are super expressive in the 2012 Dogliani Sorì San Martino. The rich, textured Dolcetto flavors are absolutely impossible to resist in this voluptuous, resonant red. (AG)

Solid for price point, I normally prefer Dolcetto from Dogliani but this is 2nd tier - held its head high with nice blue fruit violets perfumed bouquet - very firm tannins which did not relent even w/decanting, definitely needs food
