Deep ruby color. Fruit is overripe with prune and raisin as well as black cherry and tobacco. Jammy fruit without much structure on the palate but made and complemented a nice bolognese.

Slight currant, earthy notes, and slight herb on the nose. Mellow, medium-bodied, dry, medium acidity, and slightly peppery on the palate. No strong fruit flavor, but not necessarily a bad thing for this wine.
