Quite a recent vintage for a Barolo of this size and weight but showing well with a lovely balance of sour cherry, tar, roses & with the classic high acid but ripe tannic finish. Typical weight & depth from Serralunga and a lovely example from a benchmark producer.

Rich and full with dark cherry and berry fruit, it finishes with firm earthy tannins. Very good.

Powerful tannins, could use some time in the bottle. Ripe and dry

Way too young but want to try. Light brick-red color w/ light purple rim; wonder- and power-ful nose of flowers (roses!), charcuteries, spices, anise and some oak flavours; medium-bodied, high alcohol and acids, youthful, lots of fine tannins, liquorice, "restrained-fruit-profiled" and a long rich but unbalanced finish. Better on nose than palate and should rest a few years, as expected. SaintSaens organ symphony rescued the afternoon.

Nice fruity nose. Cherries. Medium tannins. Some nice dirt and tart fruit flavors. Had at Il Nido with Tim and jenny.

Light at the outset with cherries, and rich and dry tannins with touch of leather and cocoa that persists on the tongue. Really nice to drink with yummy prosciutto and other Italian cuisine favorites

Not your typical Barolo. This one may have passed it’s peak. Lighter bodied with equally light dusty tannins then I have noted from prior vintages of this wine. Light garnet color with some orange on the rim. Dark cherries with notes of earth and tobacco. Hints of brown leaves/Forrest Floor with a touch of vanilla on the finish. Still complex and very drinkable, but I was expecting more. Revisited this wine in June 2020. Thought it was a bit better. This bottle had a Bigger texture and fuller body.
