Skins Chenin Blanc Blend

My last bottle of vintage, still tasting great

Second tasting, still a fun, almost dry pour

Fun orange wine, 41/37/9/8/5 blend of Chenin Blanc, Pinot Gris, Albariño, Verdelho and Riesling. Looks like cherry skin-colored Rosé with excellent clarity, but these are all white varietals. Complex smear of flavors with a light tannin finish. Don’t think I’ve had anything like it, though that hint of Riesling is the bow on the package. Experimental and lovely. I admire its structure, almost dry, balanced but tannin-forward without excess,

Skin contact orange wine with funky farmhouse cider vibes. Stone fruit, orange pith, herbal tea undertones. Bigger body than expected, M acid, with some tannin on the back end

This was kind of odd but it grew on me. Foreign, hollow texture, watery and clean. Smelled of tinned sardines (which I liked). Dried apricot flavor.

In case the name and label color didn’t give it away, this is an orange wine! Beautiful color, actually pretty clean with light minerality, a little stone fruit, some floral tones, and just a smidge of the Riesling petrol. Fun food wine.

Pretty orange color. Stone fruits on the nose. Went down pretty easy...

Delicious. Melon, depth of flavor, great bang for buck.

Fantastic to see an Orange at the price point, onion skin copper color, more textural than fruit notes, but fruit notes in an apricot direction.
