So happy this one did not have the struck-match component to its flavor. Instead it was in its prime and really delivered. The second day it was even better.

First day it was better on the nose than in the mouth, but still pleasant and delivering the Emidio pepe basics of funk and fruit. The second day it shined, where it was much more full and refined.

A bit flat, but we didn’t wait long enough for it to open up, I believe. Rookie mistake, or the wine is in a low spot.

I expected more, but perhaps I need to wait a few more years. Much better on the third day.

Cherries. Super fun. A bit funky. Great with our mutton. Would happily drink this all the time in the summer... or anytime, really.

Slightly funky, but subtle. Amazing. Food friendly.

So distinctively Pepe. Some VA that gets in the way a bit.

Funkilicious. Not easy to drink more than a glass of this, but it's a pleasure to taste something so distinct.
