Popped and poured into red Solo cups. The 1995 pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and some desiccated, black and red fruits: cassis, brambles, tobacco, leather, organic earth, minerals and gentle baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (mostly integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This was a fantastic showing for the Napa and there’s quite a lot of life left. Drink now through 2035+.

This 95 still has time in the bottle but old man Dunn sure can get this much flavor intensity out of 13% alcohol is a wonder. This wine drink beautifully within half hour but you know it's still going to get better with age as the backbone and structure was all there!

Not as expansive on nose or palate as Napa Cabernets normally are. Somewhat subdued. At the 1995 Cabernet tasting was outperformed on the day by the Aussies. See earlier notes. 17-

Great for 21 years old. Still dark color. No browning. Dried black fruit, cedar, eucalyptus. Gorgeous
