Estate Grown Patzimaro Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Opening this special bottle for my girls’ 16th birthday celebration. Also, it’s the last bottle from my Napa Valley ‘14 trip. Fully integrated tannins make this wine beautiful. Nice balance, subtle fruit. Delicious.

It’s a huge California Cab. If you like that, you’ll like this. It’s not my favorite type of wine or my favorite style, but I didn’t think it was bad or unenjoyable.

Sublime. Cocoa, cassis...amazingly round for such a young wine. Magnificent and should age well.

Wonderful with food or alone.

This is by far the best cab we have had in a while. It was great just for sipping...

With aromas of truffle, fine cocoa powder, sweet leather, ripe raspberry and forest floor, this is a Cabernet to be contemplated and savored. On the palate, rich, complex flavors of ripe plum, strawberry rhubarb, fig and bramble are underscored by earthy notes and fine, dusty tannins that carry through to a lingering finish.

I don't usuly@like cabs but this one is about as good as it gets.

It's a Duckhorn. We've been a fan since buying it from a construction trailer.
