100% aglianico. Like a decadent blackberry and chocolate dessert but not too sweet, just indulgent and velvety.

Oct 23rd, 20162008 vintage. Stunning expression of aglianico. Easy to see why they call this Barolo of the south. Spice, savory, beautiful integration of oak with a ridiculously long complex finish. Not cheap but the quality makes you forget the price.

Fantastic wine -- blueberry, licorice, graphite, well integrated tannins. This 2009 is drinking superbly. Excellent with both veal Bolognese and Orechiette.
