This is a very tasty Chardonnay from Santa Rita Hills in California. Elegant and nicely balanced, complex and engaging.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with a soft mouthfeel.
This 5 year old Chardonnay still feels young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves.
I had the 2023 vintage recently, and it is very consistent.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged for 11 months in (20% new) French Oak barrels.
