Aloxe Corton continues to be massively underrated. Gorgeously deep and refined aromas of Black cherry, spice and some hints of oak being absorbed. Palate is complex and structured like this cuvee normally is but with so much fruit, complexity and spice. Incredible palate presence and much density and sweetness. This needs and hour but then is a terrific terrific value. Will age for 10-12 years easy.

Lovely licorice on the nose. Great fruit with licorice overtones. Great acidity. Bought from fass selections.

Xavier made great 14's. His Aloxe wines are always outstanding. Complex and spicey nose. Really deep and aromatic. Serious deep red cherry as well. Palate is sappy and dense with terrific structure and freshness. Cuts a deep swatch and has some serious tannins all the while remaining fresh and zingy. Needs 45 minutes to get there.
