Quite lean and austere. A dense nose with blue fruit, green pepper, herbs. Nice material but right now this is tightly wound and tannic.

I was surprised at how locked up this was. Tannic. Chalky. Dark fruit aromatics with potpourri, lavender and crunchy cranberry. Dirt covered blackberries, tar and baking spices.

Delicious but still needs five more years in bottle.

Hard to keep your hands off the Tempier!

Drinking really well for a young Tempier rouge, lots of power and deep red and black Mourvedre aromatics, but not clamped down closed like I am used to age this age.

Excellent length and good freshness from the ample acidity.

Paired superbly with rack of lamb and a veal chop with morels in a demi-glace.

Slight peppery finish like a Zin but no jam. Very nice. Drank well with sea and scallops at Ocean 82 in Grand Case, St. Martin

Dark fruit, herbs, earth (NYT). Decanted for 1.5 hours. When it opened the flavors exploded. Drank with petite filet (Josh) and compound butter sea bass (me). Amazing wine. Must have more. Finish was at least 30-40 secs. Very complex.

Young Tempier shows this beautiful clove note on the nose & that was quite apparent here. Tannins add layers of texture to the spice & pepper laced dark fruit. A true benchmark producer. Always love the dual nature of generosity and nuance on these wines.
