First bottle in a bit over 2 years. Nose is very pure with clearly defined mid season cherry fruit. Really focused and pointed. Needs to open more but it’s so precise. Deep minerality. Wafting. Such cleanliness. Palate is juicy and ripe with good lift but seeks a bit closed but the finish has great length and acid with tiny berry fruit intensity. I think this will need to open up over an hour. Really fine tannins and very compact. Opening up. Really a large scaled wine like Carradeux can be but thick fruit. Reminds me of Les Naugues in Mercurey which is a favorite of mine.

Stunningly complex and so complete. So pure. Mid season cherries. Earthy limestone aromas, great big tannins. Juicy. Amazing finish.

Great delicate red cherry and raspberry notes on top of flowers and a bed of really fine grey mineral and dirt aromas, like a fine oyster mushroom and licorice aroma that buoyed it. Spicier and more herbaceous than the grand cru, which was still more primary and powerful when I tried it. This one had great fruit, great fine sandpaper tannins, strong perfume. More please.

Lyle is spot on this is very good. Nice bright cherry some bitterness at the back palate. This will smooth out over time and this will be a wine of elegance! Well worth to follow this producer and get the 15s.
