Black licorice and sap and definitely not discreet about anything. For going out on a limb this was a hell of a good surprise. Hot vintage is obvious but the wine is excellent and FORTUNATELY not typical for the locale. Masculine woman and sexy as all hell. Strong and wet. In a good way. A really good way. 💘

Oh very nice! Surprisingly very silky for Volnay. Old vines also do their jobs. Bright red fruit on the nose and just a little short of that velvety butter. Still, pretty amazing for communal bottle.
