This is going to be a showstopper. Needs A LOT of time. Incredible concentration and it shut down after about 2.5 hours open. Tons of texture...

Drank after dinner so maybe not a fair review. Almost has more compelling nose than palate. Great balance and complex herbs, wood, spice and light earth. Would love to have with food.

Classic and so refined, still offering great resistance and grip. Wild yet restraint stuff.

Smokey bacon fat, black cherry, black olive, black pepper & violets.

Prototypical cote rotie. This is easy to drink. Complex layered and multifaceted but with little weight. Time to drink up; not gonna improve

18.5. 1990. Perfect drinking age, but at least 5 more good years. Very traditional, earthy, leathery, wonderful with venison.
