Vintage 1990 | Old gold and mahony colour. Charming smell that combines a honey impression, apricot, minerality, Turkish Delight. Só recognisable Chenin Blanc. This moelleux has an awesome balance between sweet and acidity that probably gives the wine an eternal life. I bow my head deep for Gaston Huet who made this wine and handed it to us at a visit that until today gives that day a golden edge. This is truly Great Wine. My 5000th entry in delectable. Tribute to Chenin Blanc.

Layered honey, brown spice, dried apricot. Complex texture and powerful weight with balanced acid. Still got a ton of life ahead of it.

1990: This bottle given to me by Gaston Huet when I visited him in 1996, so no importation or pregnancy warning stickers to obscure the contents. Amber color revealing the level of botrytis in this vintage, since the wine was absolutely fresh. Creme bruleé nose. Silky mouthfeel, with explosions of fruit, ranging from baked apples, hints of vanilla, quince jelly and raisins. Long, long pleasing finish which is a fitting tribute to one of the true heroes of winemaking. Sublime.
