Montée de Tonnerre Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Honey and ripe pear. Lifted aromas. Great density on the palate and lingering acidity.

Delicate yet powerful. Lime notes with chalk, a steeliness, beautiful balance and no element shouts but all sing. Absolutely gorgeous. In a great place now.

The vintage in part but tasted off to me.

A little shy on opening but this blossomed beautifully into its classical mould with air - 2009

Needed a couple hours to open this time. Fabulous.

First taste of Raveneau. Excellent but oh so tight even with several hours in decanter

2010. I don't have words for this. Complexity. Plush. Depth. But unmistakable tension and minerals. This is as good as it gets. Breathtaking Chablis
