Butteaux Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Drinking beautifully right now. Cheese rind, yellow apple, sea salt.

Gorgeous nose. Soft and pretty but a great mineral underpinning. Sweet around the edges. Very long and pure. Delicious

This is an amazing'05 btl...Lemon/lime Chiffon, hay, and mineral.

not as great as the 2002 clos poured along side but still awesome. no oxidation. solid.

Another that escaped the pre-mox demon. Wonderful wine! Also at La Cagouille.

Extremely nutty. Hints of butterscotch and caramel. Classic aged white, although lost many of "Chablis" qualities.

So dope. Almost too much of a good thing with that extra Raveneau oomph. And 05. Would add a touch of acid if I had a magic wand. But a stunning wine. Was crazy shy on first pour and then quickly became white flower paradise, beeswax and saline for days. Highly amped. Indulgent.

Broad and delicious. A more lush and open palate than the 7 or 8. Really good.

An incredible wine - lemon lime underpinned by beautiful nuttiness and fabulous texture. Excellent!!
