Beautiful.

dark, rich, plummy, peppery with bright, fresh herbs...a hint of eucalyptus and meat....lovely all around...

Decant at least half hour

Light weight aromas but the palate shows herbs, bacon fat, and plums and is delightful on this snowy night. I chose this lighter vintage to go with chicken with caramelized onions and cardamom rice and the herbs in the wine play off of the herbs in the dish.

Hints of pepper and olives. Such a departure from boring old cherries and plums.
