Delectable - this is the Latricieres Chambertin, not the Echezeaux. The final 9th wine in the Gevrey Chambertin Grand Cru bracket and it proved to be somewhat controversial. The wine was mid Ruby with a tawny edge showing some development. The palate was rich and flavoursome I thought. Roscoe and Alex from PWS were not fans seeing “over ripe dead stewed fruit” in Roscoe’s case giving it 91 whereas Alex gave it 94. I gave it 96. Comforted myself as giving the same score as Burghound who was on 96. Summing up the Gevrey Chambertin bracket was brilliant - happy to buy any of them.
