Big fruit nose. Very tight but forward. Tart cherries. Lively and fun but needs time would love to revisit in 15 years

A fine 1er Cru and one of the great values in the Faiveley lineup. This bottle behaved poorly as so many other young Burgundies have, showing a seductive burst of fruit and savory earth initially before turning rather aromatically mute after 2 hours. It never fully regained form, but I am almost certain it will be gorgeous in another year or two. On the palate it is showing well with a very defined and supple mineral structure and focused acidity. In a dumb phase now but is sure to grow up soon.

Tasted more new world than Burgundy. Ripe fruit with strawberry raspberry flavours. A little simple for a Premier Cru Monopole. Short term cellaring.

More traditional dark earthy fruits, mid level minerality, nice acidity.

2005 vintage - big & closed - a shiraz drinker's Burgundy IMO - needs time and air!

Very nice. Highly acidic, slight but bright hot fruit, light mid pallet but good spice on lingering finish. Can't help but wonder what this wine will be like tomorrow.

Great wine with amazing layered flavors of ripe cherry, sweet brown spice, dried cranberry and raspberry, great length and medium weight.
